Today is the last day of the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair. The Super Slow Way project was represented on stand 8 with the other trade stands and featured all of the work that had been commissioned for the project.
I was pleased to deliver the finished work last Wednesday and was great seeing them at the private view on Thursday evening.
The final pieces were made from 'paperclay' as they were pressed as solid pieces. The inlay of aggregates on one side, and the carved wave form were revealed when the surfaces were polished.
Entitled 'Twenty-one point five', these pieces relate to the journey between Leeds and Liverpool and explore the terrain across the Pennine hills.
